Women & Infants - Medicine Department 

Status: Full-Time

Hours: 40 Hrs/Flexible

Job Description: The Assistant Nurse Manager has the authority, responsibility and accountability for the nursing administration of a patient care area, for an assigned shift. This individual will pay particular attention to the continuity and quality of care under the direction of the Nurse Manager. This person must demonstrate initiative and share responsibility with the management team in meeting the goals for patient care in a designated clinical area. This person will promote and support team unity and collaboration.

Required Education: Masters Degree preferred, B.S.N. (required if hire date is after 7/1/91) or proof of academic achievement toward B.S.N. degree. Current licensure with the State of Rhode Island as a registered nurse. Ability to lift approximately fifty pounds.

Notes: Manual dexterity and mobility required. While performing the major responsibilities of this position, the incumbent must be able to regularly sit, stand or walk, and occasionally reach for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, move and/or carry supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds, and occasionally be able to bend, stoop, crouch or kneel.
